Assistant in Secunda

 Phakisa Holdings is looking for an Assistant in Secunda.

Main Purpose of Job:

Inspect welding equipment – Electrode holder, cables, plug and machine.

Handling of electrical equipment – Grinders, drills, saws, welding machine

Handling of hand tools – Hammers, chisels, punches, spanners, wrenches, saw.

Loading and off-loading of material and equipment

Handling of rigging equipment – Turfors, chain blocks, ropes, slings

Painting of steel

Bolting and unbolting of steel

 

Responsibilities:

Grind or cut work piece to required specifications, have sound knowledge of grinding or cutting equipment and hazards.

Inspect welding equipment – Electrode holder, cables, plug and machine.

Handling of electrical equipment – Grinders, drills, saws, welding machine

Handling of hand tools – Hammers, chisels, punches, spanners, wrenches, saw.

Loading and off-loading of material and equipment

Handling of rigging equipment – Turfors, chain blocks, ropes, slings

Painting of steel

Bolting and unbolting of steel

 

Requirements:

Grade 12

Must reside in Secunda.

Industrial and Construction practices.
